This role is eligible for a competitive monthly incentive based on individual and company performance.

The base salary offered within the posted range will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Job Details

In this role, you will...

 

Assist with creating, organizing, and editing internal and external communications and the implementation of communication initiatives that support Mariner Finance operations, customer engagement, and team member experience. Work with many different company departments to ensure our creative assets are consistent with our brand and keep up with emerging trends in the industry.

 

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Write and proofread content, including, but not limited to: internal/external communications, press releases, intranet, and social media posts.
  • Ensure all communications adhere to Mariner Finance brand guidelines, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and implement social media assets, content, and strategies. Schedule and publish content across social media platforms.
  • Track and report on communications performance using analytics tools. Provide insights and recommendations to improve strategy and engagement.
  • Record, edit, and produce video content.
  • Proactively improve intranet spaces and pages.
  • Report on Mariner Finance corporate sponsorships and community engagement donations.
  • Maintain regular updates on Communications initiatives.
  • Cover culture and community engagement events.
  • Collaborate with team members in different departments on new projects and ideas.
  • Update and monitor reports in order to maximize the efficiency of culture and communications initiatives.
  • May perform additional functions, depending on market demand and staffing, to provide consistent, high-quality customer service.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English/Language Arts, or other related field; additional, applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant professional experience creating content.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe, and Canva,
  • Working knowledge of social networks, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing, with external community partners, customers, and all levels of company staff.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to support multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to multitask, change direction, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines with both local and remote staff.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous learning, actively seeking out opportunities to acquire new skills and stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams across and at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel 10% to attend culture and community engagement events.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge of social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout, Buffer, and Later).
  • Expertise with user-friendly design tools.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and social media advertising.

 

Hours of Work:

 

Full-time work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced. To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business needs. Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced.

 

 

Physical Demands:

 

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to move about. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
