In this role, you will...

 

 

Be responsible for leading the execution and performance of Construction Project Management, Facilities Operations, and Contracts/Procurement across the Company’s multi-site portfolio. Oversee Project Managers, functional managers, and other assigned team members responsible for construction and capital projects, facilities operations and maintenance, procurement, contracts, and vendor management.

 

Translate departmental priorities into functional plans and operating objectives, establish priorities and performance expectations, allocate resources, and monitor execution across assigned areas. Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to support business growth, asset preservation, operational reliability, and effective delivery of facilities and construction services.

 

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Lead and oversee Construction Project Management, Facilities Operations, and Contracts/Procurement, ensuring effective execution, service delivery, and achievement of departmental goals.
  • Oversee Project Managers, functional managers, and other assigned team members responsible for construction, capital projects, facilities operations, procurement, contracts, and related activities.
  • Translate departmental priorities and objectives into functional plans, operating priorities, project portfolios, resource requirements, and execution expectations.
  • Establish and maintain operating practices, project-management standards, service expectations, performance measures, and accountability mechanisms across assigned areas.
  • Monitor performance across construction projects, facilities operations, procurement activities, vendor relationships, and related programs; identify risks, service gaps, resource constraints, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of branch construction, relocations, renovations, facility upgrades, and capital improvement initiatives across the Company’s geographically dispersed, multi-site portfolio.
  • Provide oversight of facilities operations and maintenance programs to support safe, reliable, efficient, and compliant operation of Company locations.
  • Provide oversight of emergency response, business continuity support, environmental compliance, and workplace safety activities within Facilities Operations, ensuring appropriate coordination, escalation, and follow-through across affected locations.
  • Oversee contracts and procurement activities supporting Facilities and Construction, including sourcing, competitive bidding, requests for proposal, contract administration, vendor onboarding, vendor compliance, vendor performance management, and cost management.
  • Review significant project plans, scopes of work, budgets, vendor recommendations, contracts, change orders, and other materials within established authority levels; escalate matters requiring additional approval as appropriate.
  • Oversee operating and capital budgets, project financial performance, forecasts, contract expenditures, and cost-control activities across assigned areas.
  • Monitor vendor and contractor performance and ensure appropriate action is taken to address service, quality, compliance, contractual, or project-delivery concerns.
  • Partner with Real Estate, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Information Technology, Human Resources, and other functions to coordinate facilities, construction, procurement, and related initiatives.
  • Ensure assigned functions operate in accordance with applicable life safety requirements, building codes, permitting requirements, Company standards, and other relevant regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Review operational and project performance data, trends, risks, and financial results to identify improvement opportunities and support sound business decisions.
  • Provide management with project and operational status updates, budget information, risk assessments, performance results, and recommendations to support departmental planning and decision-making.
  • Lead resolution of escalated operational, vendor, project, and resource issues that span multiple teams or require broader departmental coordination.
  • Foster strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to support collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on relevant facilities, construction, procurement, project-management, regulatory, and industry practices.
  • Promote the professional growth and development of team members by sharing knowledge, mentoring, and providing consistent, actionable feedback.
  • Responsible for managerial matters such as performance appraisals and goal setting, promotions, salary recommendations, and staffing in accordance with the Company hiring process, personnel policies, and budget requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support evolving business needs.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree; additional applicable experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in multi-site facilities, construction management, capital project management, procurement, or related operational functions.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of people-management experience leading project management, facilities, construction, procurement, or related operational teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading construction and capital projects within a geographically dispersed, multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities operations, construction practices, capital project management, contracts/procurement, and vendor and contractor oversight.
  • Working knowledge of applicable life safety requirements, building codes, permitting requirements, and facility compliance considerations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction, architectural, engineering, and other technical project documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and document scopes of work (SOWs), formulate request-for-proposal (RFP) strategies and documentation, and support contract administration and related procurement activities.
  • Experience managing operating and/or capital budgets, project costs, forecasts, contracts, expenditures, and cost-control activities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities across several functional areas while partnering effectively with business and functional leaders.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Facilities Management, construction, or related professional certification.

 

Hours of Work:

 

Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced. To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business needs. 

 

 

Physical Demands:

 

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to move about. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
